Our Services

The Medical Valley Digital Health Application Center (dmac) advises manufacturers of digital health innovations on all relevant issues relating to the German healthcare market and helps identify opportunities, understand requirements, connect with industry stakeholders, and choose the most promising market access strategy and best reimbursement path for each healthcare solution.

In addition, dmac offers clinical research services that focus on evidence generation and include all the services of a digital study center – from patient recruitment and patient management to data collection and analysis. Also part of the service portfolio: market and potential analyses as well as health economic evaluations.

Reimbursement Readiness Check

We support you in evaluating the market access strategy or potential reimbursement pathways for digital health solutions in the GKV system. The results of the readiness check serve as a basis for understanding processes and requirements as well as estimating efforts and risks.

Digital Trials Center

We deliver study results based on a GCP-compliant, manufacturer-independent digital, decentralized clinical trial and offer services in the study planning, study conduct and study evaluation phases and combine them with our Digital Trials Manager as an innovative technology.

Health Economic Modeling

We provide you with argumentative support in price negotiations on DiGA/DiPA, in the initiation of selective contracts and contract negotiations with payers as well as with other relevant stakeholders.

Care Concept

We classify medical innovations in care processes/care pathways and thus provide the basis for health economic modeling and/or evaluation, preparation of proof-of-benefit and clinical trials, as well as argumentative support towards relevant stakeholders.

Five Reasons to Modernize Clinical Trials

The Digital Delivery of Care Act (DVG) and the introduction of digital health and care applications (DiGA and DiPA) laid the first layer of the foundation for more digital innovation in healthcare.

These new tools provide manufacturers of innovative medical devices with new approaches and opportunities to enter the digital health applications market. But for these companies in particular, the proof of evidence that needs to be provided represents a significant challenge – in addition to other factors such as data protection, data security, and interoperability.

Digital, decentralized studies can bring a noticeable improvement here – as a supplement to “traditional” study centers, without replacing them.
